Do something to make a difference

I believe most of us care about the plight of those in need around the world but that we're just too busy or self occupied to turn those well meaning intentions into actions that matter. Below are some of the causes I support. Take some time to look at their sites and if something interests you about them, share that with your friends and family.

Palestinian Solidarity Campaign

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign campaigns for peace and justice for Palestinians, in support of international law and human rights and against all racism. Help to build a new mass anti Apartheid movement for Palestine by supporting PSC. To learn more visit their website

Embrace the Middle East

Embrace the Middle East work in Palestine to promote better health, education and community development in the region. Their work is close to my heart and I have been fortunate enough to spend short periods of time over the years in Palestine seeing the amazing work this charity does with the money donated to them. Save the Children

When disaster strikes, there is no time to lose. Their teams respond quickly and do whatever it takes to save children's lives. In 2014 they responded to 84 emergencies in 54 countries - delivering life-saving food, water, healthcare, protection and education to over 5 million people. To learn more visit their website


Right now, the world's poorest people do not have access to safe water, sanitation or hygiene. This crisis is ruining lives and holding back development. WaterAid work to change this. To learn more visit their website

British Red Cross

The Red Cross are often first on the scene after natural disasters and at times of human crisis around the world. If you see a conflict on the news or hear about a famine strucken country in Africa; the Red Cross are there. To learn more visit their website
